So, embattled House Majority Leader Tom Delay has dropped his bid to remain in that position, which now clears the way for Republican elections in the House to take place.
Reps. coming forward and putting their name in the hat include:
- Missouri Rep. Roy Blunt, the current majority whip
- Rep. John Boehner of Ohio
Those two seem to be the frontrunners for the position at this time.
We'll have to wait and see what happens.

I've also heard Zach Wamp from Tennessee is interested, and Eric Cantor from here in Va is working to become the new Majority Whip
I've also now heard Rep. Jerry Lewis (no, not that Jerry Lewis) of California is interested.
